Home Gastronomics came about when Corey realized that it might be difficult for a home cook to replicate some of the dishes they see in fine dining or on tv.
Most home cooks don’t have the techniques or experience that professionals have acquired. Most home kitchens also don’t have the fancy equipment and tools that commercial kitchens have. He wanted to find a way for a home cook to work around these challenges using what they had available to them to be creative and closely achieve what a professional chef can do.
It all started with a blog and articles about how to be better in the kitchen. He then added the podcast to better connect with the audience he was trying to reach. He then added other forms of social media and video to yet again increase his ability to share information. Using all of these, and in person interaction might just fulfill his goal. Everyone should have beautiful and appealing fine dining quality food at home.
